HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO (June 6, 2016) -- Construction has begun on Longs Ridge, the fourth new residence building in three years at Wind Crest retirement community nestled against the Rocky Mountains in Highlands Ranch, CO. This 99-apartment home building – a project costing $33.2 million -- will open in early summer 2017.
As part of Wind Crest's second neighborhood, Longs Ridge will have a mix of one- and two-bedroom floor plans. It will also add a mix of amenities to Wind Crest. "This building will have a new restaurant, The Big City Deli; a classroom; beautiful lounge and patio for card playing or socializing with your friends; and we are building a parking structure with this building as well," said Senior Sales Director Jason Atwell.
Longs Ridge will offer a variety of one- and two-bedroom floor plans—approximately 20 percent one-bedroom homes and 80 percent two-bedroom homes. Each will include a wide range of sizes and layouts to accommodate lifestyles and price ranges.
Open floor plans make the best use of space, and beautiful finishes give each home a luxurious feel, according to Atwell. Standard design highlights include wood floors in the foyer, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, brushed nickel hardware, and a combination of recessed and pendant lighting in the kitchen.
Many homes in Longs Ridge will feature balconies—a common request among priority list members and residents.
Additional amenities at Wind Crest include several restaurants, fitness centers, a salon-spa, Red Rocks catering room, and a 230-seat arts and enrichment center. Each residence building features well-appointed sitting and meeting areas, classrooms, and patios for enjoying the stunning mountain views with friends.
A sky bridge connects the new and original neighborhoods with all-season access, and regular shuttle service offers convenient transportation on and off campus.
The Architect for Longs Ridge is JHP out of Dallas. The Contractor is Brinkmann Constructors. Wind Crest is managed by Erickson Living.
