Riderwood Residents, Staff and Prospective Residents Deliver More Than 700 Donated Toys to Toys for Tots

SILVER SPRING, MD (December 14, 2012 ) --- Riderwood retirement community residents and staff, as well as prospective residents, today delivered more than 700 donated toys to Toys for Tots to help disadvantaged children in the greater Washington, D.C, area have a happy holiday.
Seven large boxes filled with toys such as stuffed animals, art materials, dolls, games, matchbox cars, and coloring books were delivered by residents and staff sporting Santa hats.
They made the donation at Mazza Gallerie in Chevy Chase, MD, a drop-off location coordinated by WRQX-Radio (MIX 107.3 FM) and the U.S. Marine Corps.
Riderwood, which has nearly 3,000 residents, is the nation's largest continuing care retirement community. It sits on 120 acres that stretch across Montgomery and Prince George's Counties. It is managed by Erickson Living.
