Hundreds of Residents and Staff Gathered together on the 50th Anniversary of his Assassination
Silver Spring, MD – Hundreds of residents and staff gathered today at Riderwood to remember the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination at an event titled "50 Years of Dreams."
"We wanted to gather on the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination to remember his legacy and talk about meeting the goals of equity in the next 50 years," said Gary Hibbs, executive director, Riderwood. "Our goal is to create community here at Riderwood, and in our small corner of the world, we look to Dr. King as a giant to inspire us to further the dream to reality that everyone belongs. We gathered together a wonderful group to talk about the past, the present and the future all while remembering and honoring Dr. King."
