Parkville, Maryland—Oak Crest announced the promotion of Stephanie Taydus to Community TV & AV Manager.
Ms. Taydus began her career with the Erickson Living retirement community in the spring of 2018 as a Community TV Coordinator. She currently serves as co-chair of the My Erickson initiative, an interactive app that provides residents with community news and information on their smart phones and computers. She is also a member of the Welcome Home Team that assists new residents with a positive transition to Oak Crest.
"There are so many vibrant career opportunities in senior living, and Stephanie's well-earned promotion is a testament to taking advantage of them," said Robin Keeler, Director of Resident Life. "Since her arrival, Stephanie's creative and technical expertise have enhanced the content aired on our TV station. More importantly, she has served as a mentor to co-workers and embraces our mission in serving residents. We are proud of her professional development and look forward to working with Stephanie as she begins this new leadership position."
A resident of Parkville, Ms. Taydus earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in electronic media and film from Towson University, where she was a member of Lambda Kappu Tau, a media production fraternity, and completed several media internships.
Oak Crest features its own in-house television studio with three dedicated channels. The stations connect residents to the day's happenings and upcoming events, broadcast church services and air original programming produced at Oak Crest. A team of dedicated professionals operate the TV station with volunteer assistance from residents who serve as on-air hosts and provide technical support.
