Parkville, Maryland--Oak Crest, an Erickson Living retirement community, announced the promotion of Catherine Cohen to Director of Continuing Care.
Mrs. Cohen began her career at Oak Crest in 1996 as a Resident Services Coordinator before serving as Senior Social Work Manager and Director of Resident Life.
In her leadership position, Mrs. Cohen will oversee the daily clinical services and achievement of high quality experience for residents and their families through a holistic-care model reflecting the core values of Oak Crest. The continuing care neighborhood at Oak Crest provides assisted living, long-term care and inpatient & outpatient rehabilitation services. Earlier this year, the community opened a state-of-the-art memory care neighborhood featuring 38 private rooms.

Mrs. Cohen earned her Nursing Home Administrator license from the State of Maryland after completing the Administrator-in-Training program. She also held a clinical social worker license, and since 2004, has been a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
A resident of Cockeysville, Mrs. Cohen has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the State University of New York and also a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland.
Mrs. Cohen is an active member of the running community, frequently volunteering at racing events in the area and is a member of the NCR Trail Snails where she is a mentor to other runners.
