Hingham, MA -- More than 160 guests attended the annual Linden Ponds Garden Promenade Event. The Linden Ponds gardens cover close to an acre, bursting with flowers, fruits and vegetables.
"What a beautiful day we had this year," said Christine Hansen, Director of Sales, Linden Ponds, an Erickson Living Retirement Community. "More than 160 guests strolled through the gardens at Linden Ponds while enjoying music, food and more. Guests also had the chance to mix and mingle with over 200 residents who call Linden Ponds home. Danielle Niles, Meteorologist from WBZ-TV Channel 4 was also at the event and she, along with other women at the Linden Ponds Garden Promenade event, received their very own homemade oversized hat!"
The Linden Ponds gardens are a patchwork of mini-gardens, each about 9 feet square. Every design is intensely personal, based on the resident who owns the garden. In one, a tiny walkway of stones leads to a charming birdhouse; another presents neat rows of corn; in others, flowering vines climb exuberantly over a trellis. One of the oldest patches is covered by raspberry bushes, and others offer a gala mix of flowers and vegetables thriving together.
After guests finished strolling through the gardens, they enjoyed lunch inside the Derby Clubhouse and took tours of beautiful model apartment homes at Linden Ponds.
"This is an event that brings together residents and visitors," said Hansen. "It was once again a wonderful day."
