Linden Ponds Honors People Who Made Outstanding Contributions to the Culture of the Community

2012 Spotlight Winners are Jim McGurl, Alma Petrillo, Louise Stitt and Roy Peterson!

Hingham, MA -- People who live and work at Linden Ponds honored more than 160 leaders of groups, clubs and organizations at Linden Ponds at the annual Leadership Celebration and Spotlight Awards Ceremony.
Four individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the culture of the community were also recognized by their friends and families.  They were:
Alma Petrillo , who leads the Linden Ponds Musicians, plays with Kool Jazz, Accompanies the Linden Ponds Singers, is the pianist for the Linden Ponds Repertory Company and is a member of the Chapel Chorale.
James McGurl resident artist who shares his talent to assist in numerous community projects and displays including the Linden Ponds Repertory Company.  Jim has also created displays including the Hanukah display and many others.
Roy Peterson who is one of the founding Chairpersons of the Linden Ponds Wood Shop and is Chairman of the Performing Arts Center Council, Active in the Repertory Company and assists in countless  community wide projects and ventures.
Louise Stitt, the founding Chairperson of the Linden ponds Events committee that has establishes the standards of first class entertainment that the community has enjoyed since it's opening in 2004.  Louise began the First Night Celebration and many other events that are held on the campus.
"There is a reception before the Awards Ceremony where four Spotlight Winners find out they have been chosen and until then it is somewhat of a surprise," said Joe McStowe, Community Services Manager, Linden Ponds.  "At the reception they are recognized and receive a medallion in front of their families.  This night is a very special event at Linden Ponds every year."
All 160 leaders and the four Spotlight Winners were recognized.
