Kathryn Murphy Named Leader of the Year at Linden Ponds

Hingham, MA — Kathryn Murphy, Director of Human Resources at Linden Ponds, an Erickson Living developed and managed retirement community in Hingham, MA was named the retirement community's Leader of the Year for 2018. 

Murphy was one of 20 employees selected by their respective communities or corporate departments and recognized nationally among her peers during the Erickson Living Annual Meeting held in Baltimore, Maryland on March 4. 

The recognition is given to a manager or director who continually demonstrates exceptional leadership qualities and inspires, motivates and empowers his or her team members to commit to excellence in serving residents. 

"Kate's level of commitment to not only our staff as the Director of Human Resources, but also our residents, along with her understanding of the industry, innovation and passion, among many other attributes is why she was recognized at the Leader of the Year at Linden Ponds at the Erickson Living Annual Meeting," said Jim Centola, Linden Ponds Executive Director.  "The Linden Ponds team is thankful for all she does for this community and we were very happy to see her get honored for her hard work"

Murphy was named Director of Human Resources at Linden Ponds in April of 2016 after serving in the role of senior human resources manager at Linden Ponds for over seven years. She has 20 years of experience in human resources mainly in the fields of health care and human services. Murphy holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a master's degree in counseling psychology from Lesley University, as well as a senior professional in human resources certification.
