Hingham, MA – Teresa Caseau of Hingham has worked at Linden Ponds, a continuing care retirement community developed and managed by Erickson Living, in Hingham, for 14 years. She began as a Marketing Assistant and has been promoted many times throughout the years. She shares with us what she loves about working at Linden Ponds and what she would tell others who may want to make the move to the Hingham Community.
Q. How long have you worked at Linden Ponds and what have your job responsibilities been thus far?
Caseau: I celebrated 14 years in the Sales Office in October 2019. I started my career back in 2005 as a Marketing Assistant, advancing to the Sales Event Associate position when my responsibilities included the planning and execution of over 100 sales events each year. Then I was promoted to Sr. Sales Associate where some of my responsibilities included conducting pre-residency meetings and contract appointments as well as taking visitor appointments to support the Sales Counselor.
Q. You were recently promoted to Sales Counselor, what is your role now?
Caseau: My role as Sales Counselor involves meeting with families who are researching and planning for themselves or their loved ones. I spend time getting to know each and every one of my customers while helping them understand everything about Linden Ponds. I tailor each personal visit to their needs and I always include a tour of the campus clubhouses and apartments. I serve as their liaison and help them overcome any obstacles that a move can sometimes entail. At Linden Ponds, we treat each and every customer like family.
Q. What is your favorite part about working with the Sales Team at Linden Ponds?
Caseau: I come to work each and every day and I'm fortunate to work alongside a group of seven amazing women. We are friends who support one another with respect & kindness. We are a family.
Q. You have met with hundreds of residents over the years, can you share one or two stories that stand out to you as a favorite memory?
Caseau: It was a year or so ago, I met with a woman from Weymouth. She came to visit with her only child, her son, who happened to live out of state. She was widowed, and living alone and her neighborhood had changed. Friends moved away. She loved Linden Ponds but wasn't quite ready for a move so she joined the Linden Ponds Priority List and would come for events fairly often. Through the years, we had established a friendship. Moving from her family home was a very emotional and difficult decision. I kept in touch with her often as when she became ready to make the move, with our help, she listed her house and it sold very quickly. On the day she was moving into Linden Ponds, the team had placed a Christmas wreath on her door and decorated her apartment with candles so when she arrived she would feel at home. She was overcome with emotion. In the past few weeks, we've bumped into each other quite a few times and she has shared with me that she is so happy living here.
Q. What would you tell someone looking to make the move to Linden Ponds?
Caseau: Linden Ponds is a beautiful community! So many residents say to us "why did we wait?" Don't wait any longer, let us help you with every step. There is so much to enjoy here; two clubhouses, four restaurants, more than 100 different resident-run clubs. I guarantee that when you get here, you will wish that you made the move sooner!
