New neighborhood to feature assisted living, memory care, short-term rehabilitation & long-term nursing care services at retirement community campus
DALLAS, TX---Highland Springs, an Erickson Living retirement community, announced the selection of The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company as general contractor for its newest neighborhood.
The planned extended-care neighborhood will be comprised of ninety-six (96) units providing assisted living, memory care, short-term rehabilitation and long-term nursing care services to residents, fulfilling the continuum of care mission of Highland Springs.
Founded in 1909, Whiting-Turner maintains a strong presence in the Texas market with an office in Plano. Whiting-Turner provides construction management, general contracting and design/build services on projects small and large for a diverse group of customers.
Whiting-Turner will begin pre-construction activities later this fall. Earlier this year, Highland Springs hired the architect firm REES Associates for planning and design.
"Our residents and staff are very pleased to be working with the accomplished team from Whiting-Turner," stated Chris Emmett, Executive Director of Highland Springs. "Their prestigious national reputation combined with their local experience offers us the expectation that the new neighborhood will be state-of-the-art in providing extended-care services to our residents."
The eighty-nine acre community is located in North Dallas. In its independent living neighborhood, Highland Springs currently features 440 apartment homes with a variety of one and two bedroom floor plans and pricing options.
