Highland Springs to Pay a "100th" Tribute to Sinatra

December 1, 2015

The following is a resident event at Highland Springs to be held on December 11... To some, he was Ol' Blue Eyes.  To others, he was simply the Chairman of the Board.   However you came to know him, Frank Sinatra made an enduring mark on American pop culture as a singer, actor and entertainer.  Today, his music continues to connect generations and delight fans across the world. This year on December 12, Sinatra would have turned 100.  To celebrate this milestone, Highland Springs will join many other Erickson Living communities with a Tribute to Sinatra.   Our event will be held on Friday, December 11 from 7pm to 8:30pm in the Community Room...and led by the popular Jack Melick and His Big Band.     Jack's band will entertain us by playing the toe-tapping standards of Sinatra, and he might even share a few stories of his encounters with Ol' Blue Eyes from his performance days in Las Vegas. Residents are encouraged to wear their fedoras for a fun Sinatra look-alike contest and to share their favorite Sinatra memories. Refreshments, dessert and an open bar will be provided.  So please stop in and enjoy a fun evening as we celebrate an American entertainment icon on December 11. For more information, please contact Barbara Blachly in Community Resources.
