Employee Health and Wellness Center Opens at Highland Springs

DALLAS, TX--Adding a valuable benefit, Highland Springs, the Erickson Living retirement community, opened its new Employee Health and Wellness Center in March.
The center provides confidential acute care and health screenings for both insured and uninsured employees, 18 years of age and older.  In addition, employees can use the center for other services, including lab draws (even if ordered by a private doctor), flu shots, weight and blood pressure checks and medication renewals.
"We are proud to offer such an amazing benefit," said Highland Springs Executive Director Chris Emmett. "Being in the business that we are in, we realize how important health is.  Having a staffed health and wellness center at Highland Springs provides our employees with a unique and convenient approach to accessing high-quality health care."
Dr. Mary Norman and Dr. Theresa Eichenwald staff the center.  Dr. Norman, Vice President and Regional Medical Director at Highland Springs, has fifteen years of experience as an internal medicine physician specializing in care of adults.  Dr. Eichenwald has twenty-four years of experience as an internal medicine physician.
"Access to these services for our employees speaks volumes to our commitment to health and wellness programs and the wonderful resource that is our medical center," described Tina Ricciardi, Director of Human Resources at Highland Springs.
Senior health care is a specialty at Highland Springs, featuring the on-site medical center staffed by full-time doctors, nurses and other health professionals.
Residents can visit the health professionals in the medical center or continue to see their primary care physician.  In either case, same-day appointments are available on campus.
The Erickson Living physicians practice solely at Highland Springs and devote more time to each resident: 25-minute appointments versus the national average of just nine minutes.  They specialize in geriatric care and focus on prevention and whole-body health.
