Since joining the Highland Springs team as a sales counselor in 2017, Terese Mugno has successfully helped numerous priority list members and visitors learn about and move into the Erickson Living retirement community in North Dallas. And it's been a family affair, too, as her mother, Joyce Glivinksi, is now a resident, too!
Recently, Terese talked about her experience at Highland Springs.
Q: What is the most rewarding part of your job as Sales Counselor?
A: It is seeing the active and fulfilling life that people end up living here. New residents make friends and develop relationships when they come to Highland Springs, and it is so wonderful to see what a difference this makes in people's lives.
Q: What is it like having your Mom as a resident?
A: My mom has lived here for over a year, and she says 'without a doubt' this is the best decision she has ever made! She has really taken advantage of so many of the resources here. She loves her doctor and the convenience of just walking down the hall to the on-site medical center. She has enjoyed getting very involved in several volunteer groups and exercise classes. And she loves her beautiful apartment with a patio that allows her to easily take her dog for a walk. Most of all, she has made so many wonderful friends! Oh…. and she loves the food and not having to worry about cooking!
Q: What occurs when you meet with a new visitor at Highland Springs?
A: When a guest comes to see Highland Springs for the first time, I take time to show them the lifestyle they could expect to enjoy, including the many amenities. People are often surprised at what we offer including our beautiful 89-acre campus with walking trails throughout, two lakes, four restaurants (soon to be 5), the medical center, movie theatre, and so much more…and all within walking distance. We look at a couple of apartment homes that would potentially fit their lifestyle. I also take time to review the financial structure and value of living at Highland Springs and answer any questions they may have. It's all about making new guests feel welcome and listening to their perspective.
