DALLAS, TX---Veterans Day provides Americans of all ages with the opportunity to say "thank you" to men and women who have served our nation in the armed forces.
It also serves as a time to pass on the lessons of service and mission to new generations.
Residents of Highland Springs, the Erickson Living retirement community in Dallas, and students of All Saints Catholic School will be doing both at a ceremony on Monday, November 11th.
The students have prepared a special program for the visiting veterans of Highland Springs that includes a welcome address, patriotic music performed by the school's band and the sharing of their original poetry about Veterans Day.
Following the appreciation assembly, the veterans will be sharing their reflections and memories to 5th-8th students in the classrooms.
