Sharing the love at Greenspring

Springfield, Va. – February 25, 2020 – Residents at Greenspring, a senior living community developed and managed by Erickson Living, celebrated Valentine's Day with a Motown Dance Party earlier this month.

Emcee Janelle Cesari, Community Resources Coordinator, kicked the festivities off by introducing the opening act, resident Elisabeth Burnett and her dance partner, Mark, as they performed a red hot rumba to Andrea Bocelli's "Besame Mucho".

Members of Greenspring's Ballroom Dance Group received VIP invitations, and were the among the first—and last—out on the dance floor. The Original Moonlighters, a Washington, D.C.-based live band, got everyone rocking with songs from Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, The Supremes and more.

Greenspring's professional chefs and catering served up sweets including heart-shaped cookies, chocolate-covered strawberries, pink lemonade and a spiked "Lovers' Punch". Nearly 200 Greenspring residents joined in the fun, listening, singing and dancing to some of the greatest Motown hits from the 1960s and 1970s.

Residents also enjoyed the photo booth and had fun posing with Valentine's Day props for the camera.

Kudos to Greenspring's Community Resources team, including Janelle Cesari, Amber Jordan and Dwayne Ward, who hosted the event and made it special for residents to enjoy.
