Greenspring recently welcomed Melissa Robson as Associate Executive Director.
Melissa brings more than 24 years of strong clinical and leadership experience in acute care services to Greenspring. She recently served as a Senior Vice President with Novant UVA Health Systems and served in the role of chief operating and clinical officer. Prior to this role, she served as President, Novant Health in the Northern Virginia market.
Melissa led the merger and integration of Prince William Health System and Novant Health, establishing the first Novant Health market outside of North Carolina. During her role with Novant Health, she led the design, development and opening of two 60-bed hospitals in North Carolina and Virginia. Prior to her work in Virginia, Melissa held roles include chief operating and chief nursing officer for Novant Health Rowan Regional Hospital in Salisbury, NC.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Gardner Webb University in Charlotte, North Carolina and earned her Masters of Health Administration from Pfeiffer University.
