Greenspring Staff Appreciation Fund Tops $300,000

Greenspring, an Erickson Living retirement community in Northern Virginia, is pleased to share that its residents contributed $301,000 to the community's Staff Appreciation Fund in 2018.

Whether serving a meal in one of the five on-campus restaurants, maintaining the scenic 58-acre campus or helping residents stay fit and healthy, hourly staff work hard all year long to enhance the vibrant retirement lifestyle of Greenspring residents.

Each year in December, the Staff Appreciation Fund is distributed to hourly staff in appreciation of their service and dedication. This year, 889 Greenspring employees received a distribution at special events that provided the opportunity for residents to personally thank staff members.

"Throughout the year, Greenspring residents contribute to the Staff Appreciation Fund in recognition of the wonderful work that our employees do. It's just one way to thank them for another remarkable year of helping people live better lives," said Chandra Kumar, Executive Director.

This year, Greenspring celebrated 20 years of excellence in senior living. The Springfield campus is one of 19 continuing care retirement communities developed and managed by Erickson Living, a senior housing industry leader.
