(Springfield, Va.) – Some holiday joy came early for many employees of Greenspring retirement community in Springfield, Va. In 2015, residents at Greenspring donated a total of $292,159.87 to the community's Staff Appreciation Fund. On Tuesday, December 8th, Greenspring hosted a reception where the donated funds were distributed to each eligible employee. Employees also had the opportunity to visit with residents and write notes of thanks for their generosity.
The annual Staff Appreciation Fund campaign is organized each year as a way for residents of Greenspring to say "thank you" to many employees who provide a variety of community services.
