Greenspring Celebrates Diversity at Annual Expo

Springfield, Va. – November 12, 2019 – Greenspring, a senior living community developed and managed by Erickson Living, celebrated its rich diversity last month at the "Around the World" Expo.

Hundreds of staff and residents attended the annual event, where they enjoyed food from around the world, entertainment and prizes. Featured performances included dancing in Bollywood and Bhangra traditions, as well as dancers and drummers from the KanKouran West African Dance Company and a Latin bachata followed by engaged audience participation.

An interactive postcard station encouraged attendees to take a photo and post it on a postcard, where then they wrote about what diversity meant to them. The postcards were displayed for all to see, share and discuss.

"Each day, we are proud to bring together residents and staff from all different backgrounds as one unified community. The Expo was an incredible opportunity to celebrate our differences and enjoy learning from one another."
