(Springfield, Virginia) – Eli Ayoub has recently been named the new Director of Dining Services at Greenspring, an Erickson Living retirement community in Springfield, Virginia. Ayoub brings to the community nearly 25 years of leadership in hospitality and dining operations, as well as more than a decade of experience serving the senior living industry. He officially started in his new role on January 4.
"I believe dining is an experience that one should look forward to each day," said Mr. Ayoub. "I look forward to promoting a nourished menu with a variety of fresh choices and healthy options for the residents and staff at Greenspring."
Mr. Ayoub joins Greenspring from Collington Life Care in Mitchellville, Maryland, where he served as the Director of Hospitality since 2010. In that position, he oversaw the community's comprehensive food and beverage operations with a focus on employee development, menu development, and nutrition. Prior to that position, Mr. Ayoub worked for Sunrise Senior Living as the Director of Dining Services throughout D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. He also has experience as the Director of Residents/Dining Services for Brookdale Senior Living in Silver Spring, Maryland and Pompano Beach, Florida, and has worked for several private clubs locally, including Argyle Country Club in Silver Spring and Belle Haven Country Club in Alexandria, Virginia.
Mr. Ayoub received a Bachelor's degree in business administration from Sagesse University in Beirut, Lebanon. He is a certified hospitality instructor and has received a TIPS (Training for Intervention ProcedureS) certification and a National Food Handlers certification.
As Director of Dining Services at Greenspring, Mr. Ayoub will oversee the culinary operations for five dining venues at the community, as well as dining operations at Greenspring's continuing care neighborhood.
