Greenspring retirement community will host Congressman Gerry Connolly on Tuesday, September 18. Connolly represents Virginia's 11th congressional district and is seeking re-election in 2012. This event is sponsored by the resident Greenspring Democratic Club.
With over 1,900 registered voters at the community, Greenspring is frequented by elected officials and candidates for political office. Greenspring has been its own voting precinct since 2003 and has historically produced the highest voter turnout across Virginia. In the 2008 presidential election, nearly 90% of registered voters at Greenspring turned out to vote.
