Candidate for U.S. Senate and Former Virginia Governor, George Allen, to speak at Greenspring

WHAT:
Greenspring retirement community will host former Senator and former Virginia Governor George Allen on Tuesday, September 4.  Allen is a candidate for U.S. Senate, hoping to replace the retiring Senator Jim Webb.  This event is sponsored by the resident Greenspring Republican Club. 
BACKGROUND:
Greenspring has been its own voting precinct since 2003 and has historically produced the highest voter turnout across Virginia.  In the 2008 presidential election, nearly 90% of registered voters at Greenspring turned out to vote.
