The holiday season just got a little brighter for 558 hourly employees at Fox Run, an Erickson Living retirement community.
Whether preparing a meal in one of the four on-site restaurants, serving as clinical staff, or maintaining the scenic 108-acre campus, hourly employees work hard to enhance the vibrant retirement lifestyle of Fox Run residents all year long. Now, their service and dedication are being recognized through the community's Staff Appreciation Fund.
In 2018, more than $221,000 was raised from resident contributions. 558 eligible hourly employees received distributions from the fund, less taxes, from Fox Run residents at designated times and locations across the community on December 5, giving residents the opportunity to personally thank staff members.
"Throughout the year, Fox Run residents contribute to the Staff Appreciation Fund in recognition of the wonderful work our employees do. It's just one way to thank them for another remarkable year of helping people live better lives," said Mike McCormick, Executive Director.
This year, Fox Run marked 15 years of excellence in senior living, welcoming new residents to Edison Place, the community's tenth independent living residence building, with 96 brand-new apartment homes in a variety of spacious floor plans.
The Novi campus is one of 19 communities operated by industry leader Erickson Living in 11 states throughout the U.S. Fox Run is located in Oakland County and home to nearly 1,300 residents who are supported by a team of more than 750 employees.
