A Stress-Free Move to Eagle's Trace

February 6, 2020

Houston, Texas—A survey taken in 2019 by Article and OnePoll asked 2,000 Americans what their biggest stress factors were when moving to a new residence.

Not surprisingly, time management, ill-fitting furniture and trying to do everything yourself were among the top answers.

The team from Eagle's Trace, developed and managed by Erickson Living, has taken the lead in helping its new residents find solutions to these issues.

"Many of our customers have lived in their houses for decades, so naturally there is apprehension about considering a move," noted Pam Burgeson, Director of Sales for the senior living community located in West Houston.  "However, we have the resources in place to make for a worry-free transition to Eagle's Trace."

It begins with the Erickson Realty & Moving Services program that provides unique services coordinated by the community's personal moving consultant, Haven Benoit.  From downsizing to staging, preferred realty expertise to move-in day convenience, it's a thorough one-stop shop.

Charlie and JoAnne Eskridge took advantage of these services.  The couple moved to Eagle's Trace in 2018 from the nearby Royal Oaks community.  They selected a one-bedroom floor plan with a den that featured two large walk-in closets and a location that put them in the "center of action" of popular amenities at Eagle's Trace.

"We did our due diligence when it came to making a decision on senior living options.  When we first visited Eagle's Trace, there was a friendly vibe that was immediately noticeable," recalled Mr. Eskridge, who owned an electrical business.

"We were 100 percent satisfied with our move, too," said Mrs. Eskridge, a retired real estate agent.  "Haven visited our house and laid out the new floor plan.  We knew exactly what to bring to Eagle's Trace."

The couple utilized Lone Star Transitions, a Katy-based senior move manager.  "Greg and Crystal were outstanding.  When we walked into our new home at Eagle's Trace, every piece of furniture, every picture and every utensil were perfectly in place.  The television, computer and WiFi were all ready to go, too," noted Mr. Eskridge.

Now Mr. and Mrs. Eskridge are enjoying the lifestyle, making new friends, dining at a variety of on-campus restaurants & pubs and attending performances & concerts.

It's a common outcome for new residents of Eagle's Trace.

"The stress of moving should not be a deterrent for beginning an exciting new chapter in your life," said Ms. Burgeson.  "Our in-house team and preferred professionals will make the transition seamless."
