New neighborhood to feature assisted living, memory care, short-term rehabilitation & long-term nursing care services at retirement community campus
HOUSTON, TX---Eagle's Trace, an Erickson Living retirement community, announced the selection of The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company as general contractor for its newest neighborhood.
The planned extended-care neighborhood will be comprised of ninety-six (96) units providing assisted living, memory care, short-term rehabilitation and long-term nursing care services to residents, fulfilling the continuum of care mission of Eagle's Trace.
Founded in 1909, Whiting-Turner maintains a strong presence in the Texas market with an office in Houston. Whiting-Turner provides construction management, general contracting and design/build services on projects small and large for a diverse group of customers.
Whiting-Turner will begin pre-construction activities later this fall. Earlier this year, Eagle's Trace hired the architect firm REES Associates for planning and design.
"The construction of the extended-care neighborhood is our most important capital project," stated Kevin Knopf, Executive Director of Eagle's Trace. "With the professionals at Whiting-Turner, the residents and staff of Eagle's Trace are in quality, capable hands. We look forward to working together with Whiting-Turner in completing this project to provide the best services to our residents."
The seventy-acre community is located in West Houston. In its independent living neighborhood, Eagle's Trace currently features 466 apartment homes with a variety of one and two bedroom floor plans and pricing options.
