HOUSTON, TX---Eagle's Trace retirement community announced the hiring of Christopher Myers as its new Executive Chef.
Prior to joining Eagle's Trace, Mr. Myers served as the Chef de Cuisine at Charlestown, an Erickson Living community in Baltimore, Maryland. With twenty-eight years of accomplished experience in the food service and hospitality industry, he also served as Executive Chef at GL Shack's and Kelsey's in Maryland.
As Executive Chef at Eagle's Trace, Mr. Myers will focus on developing the culinary program to new heights through educational courses for the team and enhancing the variety of menu selections offered to residents. He also will be involved in the culinary piece for the opening of the continuum of care neighborhood scheduled to open in 2013.
Eagle's Trace has two on-campus restaurants featuring a variety of dining experiences from formal to casual. Over six hundred meals are served to residents and staff every day. The Dining Services Department also includes the catering event team and meal carry-out and delivery service for residents.
Mr. Myers holds an Associate's Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the Community College of Baltimore County-Essex, a term degree from the Laverenne Cooking School in Paris, France and a Culinary Degree from the Baltimore Culinary Arts Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.
He has certifications as a Foodservice Manager and ServSafe Food Safety Instructor.
