Public Invited to '100,000th Attendee" Chapel Concert Series Celebration June 2 at Charlestown

CATONSVILE, MD (April 23, 2013) - The public is invited to join the Charlestown retirement community's Chapel Concert Series on Sunday, June 2, at 3 p.m., as the series celebrates the historic milestone of welcoming its100,000th attendee. This special program will feature renowned pianist Virginia Reinecke. Her concert will be held in Our Lady of the Angels Chapel located on the Charlestown campus, 719 Maiden Choice Lane, in Catonsville, MD.
The recipient of prizes and scholarships from the age of eight, Ms. Reinecke is the only three-time winner of the Peabody Conservatory's Paul Thomas Prize. She continued her studies after graduation as a Fulbright student at the Conservatoire Nationale de Musique in Paris, where she worked privately with Nadia Boulanger.
During the course of her career she has presented recitals of Chopín in Poland and has performed recitals at various East Coast venues such as the Phillips and National Galleries in Washington, the Baltimore Museum of Art and the Walters Art Museum. In 1983, Ms. Reinecke was invited back to the Peabody Conservatory to receive its Distinguished Alumni Award.
She has performed at Charlestown many times and is always welcome as a guest performer in the Chapel Concert Series.
Since 1989 the Chapel Concert Series has offered residents of Charlestown and the public the opportunity to enjoy beautiful classical music.
