Housekeeping Department's "Dancing With My Peeps" Earns Top Honors
CATONSVILLE, MD---Their mission was clear, if they chose to accept it: create a diorama of a famous occurrence, scene or pop culture phenomenon. It could be of a historic, current or future event; it could even be a local, national, global or even intergalactic scene.
There was only one rule: all the characters in the diorama had to be played by Peeps®...bringing to life those fluffy chicks and bunnies during Easter season.
Employees of seven departments from Charlestown, the Erickson Living retirement community in Catonsville, accepted the mission.
And after a day of voting, "Dancing With My Peeps," the entry of the Housekeeping Department, earned top honors as the champion Peep Diorama of Charlestown for 2012.
Six other departments joined in the fun: Communications, Community Resources, Home Support, Human Resources, Purchasing, Renaissance Gardens Programming. They re-created everything from the Beatles' Abbey Road to the first pitch at Orioles Park at Camden Yards.
The contest was sponsored by the Erickson Living Values Team of Charlestown and coordinated by Amy Sarro of Social Work and Emily Fowler of Human Resources.
