A one-hour Tuesday evening, August 19, Maryland Gubernatorial Candidate event at Charlestown retirement community in Catonsville, MD, in which Lt. Governor Anthony Brown (D) and Larry Hogan (R) will speak to about 500 Charlestown residents in a back-to-back forums.
The format will feature an introductory statement by Lt. Governor Brown in the first hall hour. He will then respond to questions from the Legislative and Political Committee of the Resident Council at Charlestown and from residents. Mr. Hogan will follow Lt. Governor Brown in a separate, similar-fashion forum.
Candidates Brown and Hogan will appear separately at the invitation of the Legislative and Political Committee of the Resident Council at Charlestown.
The Legislative and Political Committee of the Resident Council at Charlestown, which is composed of nine members, serves an educational function, keeping residents informed of legislation affecting seniors, especially residents of Continuing Care Residential Communities.
Candidate forums enable residents to meet and greet those who will represent them in government. The Committee is non-partisan and does not endorse candidates.
