Charlestown's Yearend 2014 Occupancy is 10 Percent Above National Industry Average

CATONSVILLE, MD  (January 6, 2015) – Charlestown Retirement Community's occupancy at yearend 2014 is 10 percent above the national industry average.

More than 300 new residents moved into Charlestown last year, with 200 sales of apartment homes settled. In addition, 295 people joined the Priority List for future move-ins.

"We are excited about the number of people who are moving into new homes at Charlestown," said Sales Director Don Grove. "Ninety-seven percent of our apartment homes are now spoken for."

Charlestown currently has 2,020 residents who moved to the community from Maryland areas including Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, Carroll County, the Eastern Shore and even the Southern and Western sections of the state. Residents also moved from Pennsylvania, Virginia, New York, Connecticut, Illinois Maine, New Jersey, California, and Florida.

Refundable entrance deposits at Charlestown range from $79,000- $595,000.  Monthly fees range from $1,570-$2,730.

Charlestown will soon break ground on construction of a new continuing care neighborhood that will provide 87 short-term, rehabilitation and long-term care units, 114 assisted living plus memory care units and 96 assisted living units in July 2019.
