Two Brooksby Village Residents Unveil 16 Foot Long North Pole Village

December 8, 2014

Peabody, MA -- Joan Pappalardo began creating her Dept. 56, North Pole Village with a few pieces. Some villages were purchased, and some were gifts, but each year her village grew a little larger.

Now, 12 years later, she and her companion, John Murphy, both live at Brooksby Village in Peabody, will unveil their largest North Pole Village to date at 16 feet long and 6 and 4 feet deep.

"John has been putting this together since August", said Pappalardo. "We were away last year and didn't put it together so we have collected more pieces over the past two years.  Its even bigger and better than in years past!"

Their two story North Pole Village includes 2 skating rinks, mountains with skiers, a train, simulated flowing water, and many more beautiful features.

"In 2012/2013 we had over 1000 people visit us, and this year we expect even more" said Murphy.  "People who live and work at Brooksby Village and their families  are  invited once again to enjoy the Village."

Brooksby Village is one of 18 continuing care retirement communities developed and managed by Erickson Living.  The scenic 90 acre campus is located in Peabody, MA and is home to more than 1700 residents.
