Peabody, MA – Residents and staff gathered together and celebrated the grand re-opening of the Greentree Cafe at Brooksby Village, a continuning care retirement community developed and managed by Erickson Living.
"The Greentree Cafe, one of five restaurants at Brooksby Village, has been modernized and updated with more stations so there are now five different areas to choose from for residents and staff," said Alana Daher, Director of Dining Services, Brooksby Village. "Everyone has worked very hard to re-open the new Greentree Cafe and it was wonderful to all celebrate with residents and staff."
Formerly known as "The Chef's Corner", the Grill Station has new made-to-order options such as Shrimp Kabobs, Teriyaki Turkey Burger, and Blackened Fish Tacos.
The first new addition to the Greentree Cafe is the "Pizza & Salad" station where staff and residents can choose from a variety of different flatbreads such as a Vegetable or Fig & Prosciutto. There are also entrée salads such as a Tex-Mex salad and an Asian Salad with your choice of protein (Chicken, Shrimp, or Tofu).
The second new addition is the "Creation Station," which currently offers a "Build Your Own Pasta" menu where staff and residents can choose from Ravioli, Linguini, or Tortellini with choice of sauce and protein.
For quick-service items, the Homestyle Favorites hot line offers ready-made soups, entrées, vegetables, and starches without the made-to-order wait. This menu is updated daily.
The Deli Station now has a Panini Press so staff and residents may enjoy some crispy Panini sandwiches such as the Chicken, Bacon & Ranch Panini, or the Turkey & Swiss Panini with a Cranberry Aioli.
Finally, a Dessert station has been added next to the Deli where residents and staff can find a daily variety of dessert options for either dine-in or to take-out.
The Greentree Café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
