Mariela Canela Recipient of the 8th Annual Carol Dooley Scholarship Award at Brooksby Village

Peabody, MA -   Mariela Canela from Peabody, is the recipient of the 8th annual Carol Dooley Scholarship Award. Canela works in the Dining Services Department at Brooksby Village as a Service Coach and attends Northshore Community College.  Canela will receive a $1000.00 towards her education at Northshore Community College.   She is the daughter of Claudino Canela who also works at Brooksby Village as a Utility Worker.
Carol Dooley was the Director of Human Resources at Brooksby Village and unfortunately passed away from cancer.  The Carol Dooley Scholarship Award supports children of Brooksby Village employees who plan on attending college or trade school upon high school graduation.
"Carol is in our hearts and minds every day," said Mary Naughton, Human Resources Director, Brooksby Village.  "Mariela is a wonderful choice for this year's scholarship winner."
As a recipient of the Carol Dooley Scholarship Fund, Canela will receive a $1000.00 scholarship in the Fall.
