Brooksby Village residents built 15 ft long North Pole Village

January 10, 2017

Peabody, MA - Joan Pappalardo began creating her Dept. 56, North Pole Village years ago with just a few pieces. Some houses were purchased, and some were gifts, but each year her village grew a little larger.

Now, 13 years later, she and her companion, John Murphy, both live at Brooksby Village retirement community in Peabody, unveiled their North Pole Village at 15 feet long and 6 and 8 feet deep.

"John starting putting together the village in September", said Pappalardo. "We have collected more pieces over the years. It was bigger and better than in years past!"

Their two story North Pole Village included 2 ski slopes and 3 skating rinks and much more.

"We had an amazing turnout this year" said Murphy. "People who live and work at Brooksby Village and their families are always invited to enjoy the Village."
