Peabody, MA -- In recognition of what would have been Frank Sinatra's 100th birthday this Saturday December 12, Brooksby Village celebrated his birthday with "An Afternoon with Frank."
More than 200 people attended the event led by Brooksby Village residents Joan Pappalardo and John Murphy.
People who live and work at the Peabody Retirement Community performed many of Frank Sinatra's hits at the very special karaoke event.
"So many of us living here at Brooksby Village love Frank Sinatra," said Pappalardo. "We all grew up listening to his music so what better way to celebrate and honor his birthday than by singing many of his classics! Karaoke is a popular event here so we thought it would be fun to dedicate an entire hour to Frank!"
Everyone at the event was given a Frank Sinatra Fedora Style hat!
Specific Frank Sinatra celebrations have been planned at a number of Erickson Living communities.
