Next Steps Taken at Ashby Ponds Home Expo

Ashburn, Virginia--By the numbers, the Home Expo held at Ashby Ponds on April 25 was a resounding success.

The event drew more than 250 guests to the continuing care retirement community developed and managed by Erickson Living.  They toured 13 apartment homes in the beautiful Birch Point and Cypress Ridge residential buildings, showcasing a variety of floor plans, styles and custom features that match all tastes and budgets, and received a first-hand look at the amenities offered in the Great Oak Clubhouse.  

Farmwell Hall was a hub of activity with 22 tables staffed with employees and vendors who provided information regarding community services such as the on-site medical center and initiatives such as the realty and moving services program of Ashby Ponds. 

The guests, a mix of priority list members and new visitors, were assisted by a team of 50 volunteers that included resident ambassadors and employees from Ashby Ponds, sister communities and Erickson Living.

But the personal connections made the event extra meaningful.

"The home expo provided us with an exciting opportunity to develop even stronger relationships with priority list members & visitors and showcase Ashby Ponds to new friends," described Holly Henderson, Director of Sales & Marketing.  "Our volunteers, particularly the resident ambassadors, were able to provide insight and share their experiences about the lifestyle enjoyed at our community.  As a result, we were proud to welcome new reservists and priority list members who took the next step during the day."

2019 is another banner year for Ashby Ponds.  

"It is an exciting time as we will open our newest independent living building, Belmont Commons, in June, and our residents continue to enjoy new amenities such as Farmwell Hall and the Dogwood Pub," said Mrs. Henderson.  "The entire team is delighted with these accomplishments, but they all begin with one interaction at a time."
