Growing to Meet the Demand for the Ashby Ponds Lifestyle

February 19, 2018

Ashburn, Virginia—Ashby Ponds, the Erickson Living retirement community, opened its newest independent living building in January, Birch Point.

"Our current expansion and growth is the direct result of the large and off-the-charts demand for the Erickson Living lifestyle in Loudoun County," says Ashby Ponds Director of Sales Holly Henderson. "Without new construction, we would not have enough apartment homes to meet this demand.  Ashby Ponds offers a truly unique and preferred lifestyle, and for that reason, we continue to grow."

With the addition of Cherry Blossom Square (opened in 2017), Birch Point, and Cypress Ridge (scheduled to open in the summer of 2018), Ashby Ponds is adding 273 new apartment homes to the community and featuring popular amenities, including airy layouts; modernized kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances; full-size, side-by-side washer and dryer; walk-in closets; and custom flooring and fixtures.

Each new apartment home will be easily accessible to Ashby Ponds' two clubhouses via climate-controlled walkways.  Inside the clubhouses, community members have access to an on-site medical center, fitness and aquatics center, performing arts theater, day spa, classrooms, computer lab and art studio.

"We listened carefully to what our current residents and priority list members enjoy most about apartment homes already on campus," says Henderson. "As a result, each of our new residence buildings will offer our most popular floor plans, like the large one-bedroom, one-bath with porch Bradford; the deluxe two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath with utility room Walton; and the large two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath McKinley.
