WARMINSTER, PA – To help celebrate the nation's pastime of baseball, Ann's Choice residents will step in the batter's box and swing away like Ryan Howard and Chase Utley and test their throwing accuracy ala Cole Hamels, at the annual Ann's Choice Home Run Derby tomorrow, Friday, May 8th, beginning at 2 p.m. and last until approximately 3:30 p.m.
Participants will use a standard softball bat and try to hit a baseball as far as they can as men and women participate.
This exciting event will kick-off with the posting of the American Flag by an Honor Guard made up exclusively of Ann's Choice residents who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Then, there will be a moving singing of our National Anthem.
Media will have a wonderful opportunity to gather video and photos of seniors who are young-at-heart and full of heart as they participate in one of the nation's most popular sports.
The Home Run Derby will take place on the Great Lawn near the gazebo. Media can park in either the Village Clubhouse Parking Lot or Keystone Clubhouse Parking Lot.
Ann's Choice is located at 30000 Ann's Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974.
