MEDIA ADVISORY: Ann's Choice Resident Knitters Who Make Stockings for Injured Soldiers to be Honored by Congressman Fitzpatrick

WARMINSTER, PA - This Monday, April 21st at 1:30 p.m., U.S. Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick will visit with a group of seniors from the Ann's Choice retirement community who handcraft stockings for U.S. soldiers who have had limbs amputated due to injuries sustained in battle.

The group, who call themselves the "Knit Wits" will be presented with an official acknowledgment by the congressman who will soon commend the ladies for their dedicated work in the Congressional Record on the floor of the United States House of Representatives.
The Knit Wits began creating the stockings in January and they will be shipped to soldiers being treated at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. The 300 stockings will be on display for Congressman Fitzpatrick and he will receive a demonstration on how they are knitted.
In addition, veteran soldiers who live at Ann's Choice will attend this event to meet with Congressman Fitzpatrick.
The event will take place in the Liberty Commons Clubhouse Catering Room on the first floor. Ann's Choice is located at 30000 Ann's Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974.
