Ann’s Choice’s Continuing Care Neighborhood Named “Best Nursing Home” by U.S. News & World Report

For the fifth consecutive year, Ann's Choice's continuing care neighborhood was named a "Best Nursing Home" and received a 5-Star Rating from U.S. News & World Report. 

"This recognition by U.S. News & World Report is a fantastic endorsement of our staff's daily dedication to a providing excellent quality care for residents," said Executive Director Chris Donati.

U.S. News evaluated more than 15,000 homes nationwide, in every state and nearly 100 major metropolitan areas. This year, nearly 2,300 nursing homes earned the designation of a U.S. News Best Nursing Home.

Ann's Choice is one of 10 Erickson Living-managed communities nationwide selected by U.S. News & World Report for this honor. The others are Seabrook (New Jersey), Cedar Crest (New Jersey), Charlestown (Maryland), Tallgrass Creek (Kansas), Riderwood (Maryland), Brooksby Village (Massachusetts), Linden Ponds (Massachusetts), Greenspring (Virginia), and Highlands Springs (Texas). Since its inception in 2009, the U.S. News nursing home ratings have relied on data from Nursing Home Compare, a program run by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that sets and enforces standards for nursing homes.

The nearly 2,300 nursing homes that earned the designation of a U.S. News & World Report Best Nursing Home for 2017-18 represent about 15% percent of all homes.

"For the Best Nursing Homes, U.S. News analyzed objective data to arm consumers with the information and confidence they need to help them choose a home capable of providing the quality care seniors deserve."

Ann's Choice continuing care neighborhood offers personal care, long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, and more.  In 2018, Ann's Choice new continuing care building, Chestnut Pointe, will open. Construction of Chestnut Pointe is part of Ann's Choice multi-year plan to expand and renovate its existing continuing care residences, along with amenity spaces. When the multi-year project is complete, Ann's Choice will have a total of 61 assisted living apartment-homes, 44 memory care residences, and 88 skilled nursing residences.
