Fun and exciting opportunities for residents include tennis, art, flying drones, band, dancing, and more!
On May 11, more than 400 people, including priority list members, attended Ann's Choice Resident Life Expo and explored the vibrant opportunities the community offers through its resident-run activities.
"With more than 150 clubs and activities on campus, there is something for everyone," said Community Services Manager Angelena Adams. "Pursuits include arts and crafts, cultural, educational, games, music, theater, social, travel, volunteering, fitness, and more."
At the fun event, guests spoke with resident group leaders and joined in live demonstrations of square dancing, sing-a-longs, Silent Flyer simulator, and games. The community's 2nd Time Around Band entertained the crowd with old and "not so old" tunes.
Stan Komorowski, a member of the Romeo Club (Retired Outstanding Men Enjoying Ourselves) said, "I like the comradery of our club. We have a great time together." The club has more than 150 members and meets for breakfast once a month. After breakfast, members can stay for a talk by a guest speaker from Ann's Choice or the local community.
Sherry Resnick, who has lived at Ann's Choice for three years, is a founding member of the Gallery at Ann's Choice. "The Gallery has six art exhibits a year," said Resnick. The current show features the work of two local photographers, Mickie Rosen and Dutch Phil Bagley. Resnick also enjoys participating in the pottery club, short stories group, and exercise classes.
"You'll never be bored at Ann's Choice," said Adams. "There are so many opportunities to get involved and meet new people."
Ann's Choice is one of 19 retirement communities managed by Erickson Living. Located in Warminster, Pennsylvania, the scenic 103-acre campus is home to more than 2,000 residents.
